25/07 - 29/07 : Geelong Mini Cup (The Y)

25-33 Riversdale Rd, Newtown 3220 VIC

Welcome to the inaugural Geelong Mini Cup

To play, register for the tournament first by paying your rego fee of $25 here (financial members of the Geelong Pickleball Club get a discount) - then book into the divisions you want to participate in ($15 per division).

The following divisions are offered:

What's a PIRAT you ask? At the GPC we use the PIRAT rating system; we use the scores that are recorded in many of our sessions to calculate each players PIRAT (PIckleball RATing) score, which is a value between 0 and 10, so we can then place players of similar ability together in our sessions. The calculation uses a customised fomula based on the Elo rating system which is also the basis of other rating systems like DUPR. If you're not a GPC club member you can ignore the PIRAT - just go by the PA grading used, i.e. 2.5 and below (beginner/ low intermediate), 2.5 to 3.25 (intermediate) or 3.25 and above (high intermediate/advanced).

All decisions regarding placement in events are at the discretion of the tournament organiser; you and your partner may be moved into a different playing level then the one you originally signed up for based on your DUPR or PIRAT ratings or due to operational requirements.

Cancellations: You can withdraw from any event and also from the tournament itself until 11:59pm on July 21st 2025 and will get the event / registration fee refunded as credit to your GPC account or refunded to your method of payment (if you're not planning at playing any future sessions with the Geelong Pickleball Club). Cancellations that occur on or after July 22nd are not eligible for a refund.

Registration

In order to participate in this tournament you need to be a current Pickleball Australia Member, so let's start with your Pickleball Australia National Member ID

This is a number between 1 and 28000 that you would have been given when you became a Pickleball Australia member (most likely via Pickleball Victoria, but if you started playing in another state then you would have been given that number by the corresponding state based pickleball association).
