Founded in early 2024 by a group of pickleball friends that saw an opportunity to grow their favourite sport in Geelong, the GPC wants to advance the game of pickleball and is actively encouraging players that are new to the sport, those that enjoy the more social side of pickleball as well as those who want to play more competitively to come and play at our 8 court indoor facility at the Y in Newtown.

The club offers free introductory sessions for players that are new to the game, social sessions where players of all ability can meet - and have a coffee and a chat afterwards, as well as transparently graded intermediate and advanced sessions for players looking to compete at their level of play - you can join us here, or find out more about how we play pickleball.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a racketsport blending Tennis, Badminton, Squash and Tabletennis. It has become hugely popular in the last couple of years as it appeals to players of all ages and is easy to learn.

Where do I start?

Check out our introduction page that has details on how to become member, how to book into a Sessions and what the different session formats and grades mean. To see when & where to play just go to the sessions; we offer free introductory sessions on Thursdays and Sundays - just come along, we provide the paddles, balls and instructors.

If you want to play in one of our graded sessions (Intermediate or Advanced) you need to sign up for one of our membership options first. Once you signed up, just log into your account and book the session you're interested in - your first induction session is on us !

Where do you play?

Our home base is at the Y at 25-33 Riversdale Road, Newtown.
